Serengeti National Park
About Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park is the crown jewel of Africa's wilderness. Stretching over 14,750 square kilometers of grassland plains, savanna, riverine forest, and woodlands, it is home to the largest terrestrial mammal migration on Earth. Every year, over 1.5 million wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of zebras and gazelles traverse this ecosystem in search of fresh pasture, braving crocodile-infested rivers and constant predator threats. The park supports an incredibly dense population of predators, including over 3,000 lions, numerous leopards, cheetahs, and spotted hyenas. Visitors can explore the central Seronera Valley, the rugged Western Corridor, or the remote northern wilderness near the Mara River, experiencing classic tented camps and breathtaking hot air balloon safaris.
